Abstract:

LED Driver ICs are widely used in automotive exterior lighting applications. Popular solutions for driving LEDs are switching or linear constant current types. For switching types ROHM offers buck, boost and buck boost converter topologies. Additional features provide animation by switching or dimming each LED independently. If your challenge is to provide flicker free operation, dimming and animation options as well as protection and diagnosis features like open, short and status information, this online seminar will help you to choose the right product. As a matter of course ROHM offers suitable packages for smaller designs and features like by-pass mode in case of voltage cranking and energy sharing for higher power designs - integrated in the LED drivers. Our LED driver portfolio caters for all different types of exterior lamp applications like high/low beam, DRL, fog, brake, reverse, position, turn and CHMSL.
